💡AI Tip of the Day: Perplexity Comet
Perplexity Comet is an AI-powered browser that goes far beyond traditional web browsing. I have been playing with it and wanted to share with you the valuable time you can save using it.
I run the La Jolla Half Marathon each year. I have very little time to run but like to follow a plan to hold myself accountable. In this example, I asked Perplexity Comet for the best half marathon training plans for someone who can only run three days a week. After Comet gave me a list of plans and a table comparing the workouts, I asked it to explain who each plan is best for, how challenging they are, and which one would fit my experience and goals. Comet quickly broke down the details and guided me through the pros and cons of each option, making it easy for me to decide which training plan was right for me.
If I had tried to do this with a regular browser, I would have needed to search on Google, click through a bunch of different links, read long articles, and try to gather all the details by myself. I’d be copying notes, building my own tables to compare each plan (or copying into an LLM to do so for me), and it could take considerable time before I felt confident in my decision.
Perplexity Comet gives real-time context and automates multi-step tasks directly within your browser, making research and decisions quicker and easier.
Next week, I’ll share some business examples of how to use Comet, showing how it can help professionals save time and work smarter by automating complex tasks.
