The Ryder Cup deployed one of the world's largest temporary AI networks covering 1,500 acres. Using HPE technology, the system included 170 switches, 650 WiFi access points, and 67 AI-enabled cameras to support broadcast operations, with agentic AI diagnosing problems before they occurred and 30+ radar devices generating 50 million data points tracking shots.
Los Angeles partnered with Google to use AI for hosting major sporting events. The city will deploy Gemini and Google Workspace to analyze traffic patterns, coordinate law enforcement, and create multilingual communications for the 2026 World Cup, 2027 Super Bowl, and 2028 Olympics, with 27,500 of 45,000 city employees trained on AI usage.

💡AI Tip of the Day: Automate recurring tasks with Perplexity
Last week we featured Perplexity Comet, the AI-powered browser that goes far beyond traditional web browsing. Perplexity has another great feature called Perplexity Tasks.
How Perplexity Tasks Work
You can create any query as a recurring Task, specifying the frequency (once, daily, weekly, monthly, yearly) and preferred delivery time. Tasks run automatically and results are saved in your Library, delivered by email or push notification, streamlining the process for teams and clients who rely on consistent, updated information.
Just select Account in the left sidbar and go to Tasks. In the search bar, type the prompt you want to automate. You can then select how often you want the tasks to run and notificaiton preferences.
