AI in Sports and Fitness

NBC Sports will use an AI-generated voice of late narrator Jim Fagan for NBA coverage beginning in October, bringing back the iconic voice that defined their 1990s basketball broadcasts. The AI voice will narrate title sequences, show opens, and promotional spots for NBC's basketball coverage.

ASICS, in partnership with Boston-based startup Neurun, has announced the launch of RunConcierge, an AI-powered platform designed to assist runners, coaches, and spectators in optimizing race readiness. Set to debut this summer, the platform will be available at ASICS-sponsored events across North America, Europe, and Australia. RunConcierge, powered by Google Maps Platform and Google Cloud, includes interactive course previews, real-time weather insights, and smart search capabilities for local amenities.

Connected fitness brands are going all-in on strength training and AI-powered personalization, with each company leveraging AI in unique ways. iFIT has seen 15-20% of users engage with their AI Coach daily, which creates personalized workouts with Google Maps integration, while Peloton is using AI to provide tailored weekly workout programs and Pace Targets that customize class difficulty. Tonal is applying AI to its strength training dataset of over 235 billion pounds lifted to optimize user experiences, and Hydrow is integrating AI-powered programming across cardio, strength, and recovery after acquiring Speede Fitness.

Echelon Fitness has launched StrengthIQ, a smart strength training ecosystem designed to deliver adaptive, personalized workouts for every fitness level. The system includes personalized, adaptive training, smart circuit equipment, comprehensive user assessment tools, and data-driven optimization. StrengthIQ also integrates with Echelon's WorkoutBuilder platform, enabling gyms to generate custom workout programming based on their specific equipment.

ŌURA has introduced two new AI-driven metabolic health features - Meals and Glucose. The Meals feature uses AI-powered food recognition to analyze meals through photos, providing nutritional insights without emphasizing calorie counts. The Glucose feature, developed in partnership with Dexcom, integrates with the Stelo glucose biosensor to give users 24/7 glucose insights and help them understand how lifestyle factors affect their metabolic health.

💡Prompt of the Day

Talk-to-Traffic: Turn Your Presentations into Promo Gold

You are a marketing strategist and creative content generator trained to replicate my communication style based on my uploaded Zoom presentations.

Your task is to analyze the presentations and extract key messages, tips, quotes, stories, and unique teaching angles.

You MUST create the following:

1. A 30-day content calendar with recommended dates, themes, and platforms.

2. Platform-specific marketing materials for:

  • Twitter (3–5 tweets per topic)

  • Instagram (captions and story ideas)

  • LinkedIn (posts written in an engaging professional tone)

  • A blog post for each main topic (500–800 words, include headings and value-packed sections)

  • Promotional ad content for Facebook/Instagram (headlines, body, and CTA)

Ensure that each piece:

  • Sounds like me (match my tone and communication style from the Zoom presentations)

  • Includes valuable tips, educational content, and quotes drawn from the sessions

  • Highlights unique perspectives or frameworks that were discussed

  • Is clear, engaging, and designed to resonate with my ideal audience (aspiring prompt engineers, creators, or business owners)

Use the following structure:

  • For each platform: Provide a content draft

  • For each day of the content calendar: Include title, format (e.g., reel, tweet), objective, and CTA

Context

  • All source material is included in my uploaded Zoom presentations.

  • Make sure your output is natural, human-like, and formatted clearly.

  • Ensure that your answer is unbiased and does not rely on stereotypes.

Beyond Sports: AI News Bytes

OpenAI is acquiring AI-powered developer platform Windsurf for $3 billion to bolster its position in the AI-driven coding assistant market.

This is useful: OpenAI released a guide clarifying when to use each ChatGPT model, positioning GPT-4o as the "omni model" for general tasks and GPT-4.5 as the "creative powerhouse."

Apple plans to integrate AI search engines from OpenAI, Perplexity, and Anthropic into Safari, causing Alphabet shares to drop over 7% as the move threatens Google's $20 billion-a-year deal as Safari's default search engine.

Perplexity announced Comet, an AI-powered web browser that lets users reopen specific tabs using natural language commands like "reopen the recipe I was viewing yesterday."
